Why use Sanwa Ball Valve 4″?
Sanwa Ball Valve 4″
Used in many hydrocarbon process applications, ball valves are capable of throttling gases and vapors and are especially useful for low flow situations. These valves are quick opening and provide a very tight closure on hard to hold fluids (see Figure 5.12).
One of the leading brands of commercial brewery and food processing equipment is DERNORD. This is a product that has a wide range of applications. This ball valve can be used in water, oil, gas, or air.
Opening and closing speed: A ball valve is better suited for applications that require faster opening and closing speed or during emergencies due to its quarter turn on/off operation.
They are not suitable for slurry type applications due to cavities around the ball and seats. Slurries or other thick liquids tend to solidify or clog inside of the cavities, greatly increasing the operating torque of the valve and in some cases rendering the valve inoperable.
A ball valve is typically a quarter-turn valve with a perforated ball in the middle to control flow. These valves are known for being durable with excellent shutoff, but don’t always offer very precise control.
